Bouclème x FareShare: Our commitment
Throughout December, we’ve partnered with Work for Good, to donate £1 from every order to FareShare’s Cost of Living crisis appeal. Work for Good helps small businesses like us donate to causes that are important to us.
There is no hiding from the news at the moment…the cost of living crisis is real. Many families are #runningonempty, with nearly seven million people said to be going hungry in the UK, including two million children. That is an increase of 2 million since the Coronavirus pandemic. Research suggests that by next month, almost half of all children will be living in families who’ll be unable to meet the cost of some basic necessities. People are facing unprecedented levels of hardship.
Which is why we wanted to help. We’re donating £1 per order to FareShare this December to help the most vulnerable communities this winter. Their Cost of Living crisis appeal ensures that help goes to those who need it most. As well as this, they believe no good food should go to waste, which is why they are working with food distributors across the UK to redistribute surplus food to charities that turn it into meals. A community of real do-er’s, who change lives across the country.
After all, Christmas is a time for giving and we couldn’t think of a better cause to help this Christmas.
